After an hour flight to Delhi, we shall be greeted by the agents of Nepal Bhumi Tours who shall further assist us to the respective hotels in Delhi. Evening period can be spent exploring the inside city of Delhi. In the evening we shall enjoy the north Indian delicacy.

In the morning after breakfast we shall take a ride to Kathgodam which is 295.5km/184.69 miles away from the capital city. We shall take the roadway ride from Delhi to Haldwani which is approximately 300 km far in Uttarakhand. From there we proceed to Kathgodam and explore the town in the evening.

On arrival at Kathgodam we drive through the hills of Kumaon to reach Naini Tal, the most visited hill station of India. The place is surrounded by lakes and keeps us intact to the nature till we reach Munsiyari.

The 15 days Nanda Devi East Base Camp trek starts from Munsuyari, a small wintry village. To enter the trekking area, permit is needed from the concerned authority which shall be taken care by the trip leaders of the Nepal Bhumi Tours. The trek descends to Gori Ganga, and continues to descend to Jimighat, the lowest point of the trekking trail. From there we take uphill to Lilam, the wintry home of the Milam village. The village is closer to Milam glacier and hence the temperature is cold. On reaching we setup dinner camp and enjoy the stay.

We start to trek early morning to Bugdiar. Enroute we pass by the thick forests of Utees and other trees. The forest is the meeting point of Ralam and Gori Ganga. Following the flowing trail of Gori Ganga, we make our way to Bugdiar village, which is at the elevation of 2700m (8858ft) and is 14km/8.75 miles taking up the total time of 5-6 hours.  Bugdiar has a beautiful camping site accompanied by a small rest house. The place also has a memorial which is dedicated to the villagers and army people who died in massive avalanche in 1989.

We walk on a bridge over the flowing Gori Ganga river. After the easy walk we move on to steep climb towards an overhanging cliff. The path from here eases out and we shall walk parallel to the river. This is a most notable trekking trail as on the both way there are two waterfalls at an approximate height of 80m. The trail gradually descends till we reach Ralkot and to Martoli village which is situated at the edge of Lwan Gad valley. We shall spend the night in tent devouring the local village food.

We descend to the bridge over the Lwan Gad and continue to walk over the bridge of Gori Ganga. We take the short climbing up to Burphu village (3350m). The valley opens up giving us the snow-capped view of Martoli Peak, and the trans of Himalayan range. As we walk in the mist of meadow, we arrive at Milam village. The village is the gateway to Panchu valley and leads to Nanda Devi base camp. The Milam village is thinly populated and offers natural serenity. On reaching we explore the anciently crafted wood houses and carvings.

We trek towards Milam glacier with a view of magnificent peak of Rishi Parvat (6692m), Trishuli (7074m), and Hardeol (7151m).  We trek further to Lwani (3292m/10800ft) and spend overnight embracing the surrounding and culture of Lwani village.

Through the narrow trail we climb steadily to Naspanpatti. We walk through the small stretches of birch tress and rhododendron forests. The view is dominated by the north face of Nanda Devi east which is just above the Pachhu glacier. Walking more the valley widens to reveal the beautiful lush of alpine fields. A beautiful camp site lies in base of Nanda Devi East Base Camp. We will spend overnight in a camp enjoying the hot trekking meal.

Early morning, we won’t miss the orange ray of sunrise falling in the white backdrop of Nanda Devi East. The whole place lightens up with the sunrise, and the view becomes just mesmerizing. We take photos for the early dawn enjoy the scenic beauty of the base camp and trek back to Martoli following the previously taken pathway. However, on the way, we begin downward journey to Pachu Glacier which is at the Indo-Tibet border. The trail beneath gives a spectacular sight of small hamlet village Martoli. On reaching we shall spend time with the local people and experience their lifestyle.

We take the finale glimpse of the Nanda Devi East and the Nanda Kot. We take the pathway to Bugdiar mesmerizing the beautiful landscape of Nanda Devi East and the time we spent with the local habitant.

Early morning, we begin our descending walk to Lilam, the beautiful village and to Munsiyari. The journey we plan for the day is comparatively longer as we walk nearly 21 km. As we descend downwards the snow-capped mountains start to shrink while the beautiful forests and spring waterfall welcomes us.

From Munsiyari we walk down hill to Kathgodam. The sense of achievement is sure to overpower us, which will definitely push us to our next destination of Kathgodam. We enjoy the scenic view, and the rare flora and fauna found in between Munsiyari and Kathgodam. On reaching Kathgodam we shall spend exploring the small habitat, their culture and ancient temple

From Kathgodam we take air conditioner private vehicle and drive back to Delhi. From the land of nature, we get transferred to the man-made landscapes. Once we reach, the travelers can wander on their own, do shopping or take rest in their hotel rooms. In the evening a warm dinner is spread as a success party and share our thoughts on the whole 15 days Nanda Devi East Base Camp trek.
