On reaching Bagdora airport, the agents of Nepal Bhumi Tours shall guide the explorers to the respective private shuttles for Kalimpong. The time it takes to reach Kalimpong from Bagdora is 3 hrs. On reaching we shall check in the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day strolling around the bazaar of Kalimpong. In the evening a mighty dinner is organized where we shall discuss the plan of our forthcoming days of the 5 days Sikkim & Darjeeling trip.

Early morning, we start our day through local sight-seeing. Kalimpong is pretty famous for educational institutions and there are many educational institutes established during the British Colonial period. The municipality sit in the ridges of Testa river and is exceptionally known for its Horticulture. The town is also religiously famous for Buddhist culture and has monasteries Zang Dhok Palri Phodang. We proceed to Durpin Monastery or Zang Dhok Palri, then to Army Golf Course, Dr Grahams Home, Deollo, and Hanuman Tok. In the evening we drive to Gangtok which is 75km/ 46.88 miles away from Kalimpong.

The day starts with an excursion to Tsomgo Lake. The lake is popular for its changing color and hence is one of the most visited destinations in Gangtok. The lake is situated near Nathula Pass (the entry point to China). Adding more enjoyment to the trip we visit Enchey Monastery, Deer Park, Khang Monastery, and Seven Sisters Waterfall. We then take the roadways to Darjeeling which is 98km/ 61.25 miles away from Gangtok, which nearly takes up a time period of 3-4 hours.

We take an early climb to Tiger Hill (7800ft) to take the early morning glimpse of the eastern sunrise leaping behind the majestic Kanchenjunga range. On the way we visit the Batasia Loop, Ghoom monastery and take a quirky toy train ride around the Gorkha War Memorial.

As we proceed, we shall visit Dooars (tea estate) established by the Scottish tea planters in 1860 which is spread over 1600 acres of verdant forests and rolling hills. After exploring we move back to the hotel and enjoy surfing the nearest markets in Darjeeling.
